Our body functions best when acids and bases are in balance.
The so-called acid-base balance is crucial for our health, energy, and well-being.
Every organ has its optimal pH value – for example, the blood is slightly alkaline (approx. 7.4).
If this value is out of balance, it can negatively impact many processes in the body.
Diet as an Influencing Factor (acids and alkaline)
What we eat influences the pH balance:
Acid-forming foods: meat, sugar, coffee, alcohol, white flour
Alkaline-forming foods: fruit, vegetables, herbs, salad, still water
Our modern diet is mostly acidic. However, the ideal ratio should be
80% alkaline and 20% acidic. This supports the body's own regulation and relieves strain on organs and metabolism.
Why this is important
To neutralize acids, the body needs bases. If these are missing, the body draws on its own minerals – for example, from bones or teeth. This can weaken your health in the long run.
In other words: A balanced acid-base balance is not a trend, but a foundation for more energy, lightness, and vitality. Start consciously – your body will thank you.
