Strawberries consist of 90% water, which makes them a light delicacy.
They are rich in :
VITAMIN C, BETA-CAROTENE, VITAMIN B3, POTASSIUM, CALCIUM, MAGNESIUM & ANTIOXIDANTS
Their consumption has hardly any effect on blood sugar levels.
They can improve insulin sensitivity & prevent cardiovascular diseases.
They have a glucose-fructose ratio of around 1:1 (for people with fructose intolerance)
The anthocyanins give this beautiful red color.
Make sure you buy regionally grown & ONLY eat them during their season (otherwise they have a very poor eco balance)
‼️Unfortunately, strawberries are highly contaminated with pesticides.
To use the full health benefits of strawberries- it is therefore essential to buy ORGANIC quality or grow them yourself.
